Required Equipment: Stick (junior stick or regular stick cut to the right size), goggles, mouth guard. Per US Lacrosse, equipment must meet certain approved standards. Please go to US Lacrosse uslacrosse.org/safety/equipment for approved eyewear and sticks.

Please register using the registration form link above and we will keep you posted on timing and location. We aim to have six lacrosse clinics starting on April 17th, either Saturday or Sunday morning.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!! This clinic will not be possible unless we get parent volunteers. Please contact the HYAA office if you can assist Kay Chen, who is running this clinic.

Girls Lacrosse Teams

Registration for Grades 3-8 Opens January 15th

Pricing: Early Bird $175 ends February 12th

Regular Registration $200

3rd-4th: The 3/4 playing experience is truly an introduction to the game of girls' lacrosse. The girls play 7vs7 on a shortened field. The officials are very supportive of this age level and do a lot of teaching while they officiate.

5th-6th: At this level the girls will play full field/full squad lacrosse. This is a competitive level. All levels of experience are welcome. Practice is mandatory for playing time. There will be a developmental squad (skill focus) for newer players and an advanced squad for girls who have competitive game experience.

7th-8th : This level will play full field/full squad lacrosse. All levels of experience are welcome.

Equipment: All participants will be required to wear US Lacrosse Certified Goggles, Stick, Mouth guard, and cleats.

Team Uniforms: Girls who have their uniforms from last year will be able to use them again. For participants who want a new uniform or who have not played before, there will be a uniform order period (additional charge $40).

Volunteers: HYAA is a volunteer organization. We can always use parents to participate in many ways. There is a specific need for assistant coaches to help the head coach manage practices and the sidelines during games.

We will offer competitive boys' teams for the Spring 2021 Season. There will be at least one team each in the 3rd/4th grade level, 5th/6th grade level, and 7th/8th grade level. We hope to offer two teams in each age group - one for more experienced players and one for beginner players learning the sport. There will also be some 2nd graders who will be invited to play up one grade level on the 3/4 team. We encourage kids with little to no experience to come out and try the sport and learn the game. No experience is required, but for safety reasons and to ensure a positive experience for everyone, ALL players with no game experience will start on the beginner team. Coaches will use discretion to move kids from team to team as necessary, taking into account practice attendance, skill, effort, etc. We also aim to enter the teams in each age level in at least one tournament in the appropriate competition level during the season. The Tournament Teams will be selected by the Coaches and every effort will be made to include as many kids as feasible.

Holmdel Youth Lacrosse competes in the Coastal Lacrosse League with 10 other towns. This is a town only league which is intended to keep the level of competition balanced. There will be a full schedule which will include standings, playoffs and championships for the 5/6 and 7/8 Teams. As per U.S. Lacrosse guidelines, the 3/4 teams will play a modified game of 7v7 on a smaller size field that is an excellent way for the kids to learn stick skills, get more touches on the ball and learn the game.
